that is what i would do..start with fresh corm,unless you plan to split and put in containers...snail eggs can be easy and hard to find so be careful..sounds like a great find all the same...

Yes 10 points for a golden opportunity.
If it were me I would cut most of the p-stem off, trim all the roots off and get a potato peeler to scrape back the corm till it is white.
Then check for corm...

I believe I had it happen to DB when that was chopped for shipment. I never had a DC that didn't grow. I had Namwah do that once. :^)
