Not a musa at all, it could take a year for banana seeds to sprout. I had 3 Burmese Blue bananas come up after about 15 months in the growing media.

www.banana-tree.com and www.seedman.com are two places with good selections of tropical seeds.
Just be aware, the bananas produced will have those seeds in them, so it makes them somewhat difficult...

My Truly Tiny keeps putting leaves out and is still only about a foot tall. It is full of leaves that just don't seem to add to the height of the plant. Truly Tiny. I've had it for over two years...

Doesn't look like mine. They get a very dark purple p-stem as they mature. The stems are green when they first come out.
