Yes darkman! That is exactly it! So this plant can take direct sun? I am going to grow it in a large pot and overwinter indoors. That's a nice looking pic by the way! Thanks.

I think it is the selloum. It in a way reminds me of mammoth elephant ears . The leaves are curly and wavy and kinda look like fingers. Thanks!

@amantedelenguaje. When you move your DC back outside in the spring, does the plant have a very hard time getting used to the sun again. I purchased a DC and i plan on trying to overwinter them...

Nice, very impressive plant!! In my opinion the dwarf cavendish and super dwarf cavendish are to of the best looking banana trees. They are very stout looking.

Has anyone else had success with a SDC left in ground over winter? Mine survived and has come back this year. I had read that it was hard for them to survive over winter in ground. Guess I got lucky...
