Thumbs up Re: Insomnia Thread...

I think it is the largest with the most posts!

I sure enjoy it. A place for garden pals to chat.

We used to have a huge thread just like this on UBC, until a certain moron deleted it...because it made too much work for him!

Jarred is so nice to let us talk here as much as we want.

So I was gonna go snap a shot or two and see how they turn out...

Sounds like it is a tad out of date. I am going to guess it won't be able to handle the graphics of enlightenment. from a shell type glxinfo and look at the top where it says Direct rendering. I'm going to guess it might say No.
If it does, you could try to get it to run but I doubt you would get great performance out of it.

Yeah I've been addicted to video games in the past on and off, if it's a real good one. Ever played Wolfenstein 3D? One of the best games I've ever played.

: )
I never got motion sick before wolfenstein 3d. I would probably guess that most people would put that in the list of top 10 games of all time. Right up there with tetris.

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Wow Jack, where the hell have you been?

You appeared, you re-appeared, and then you disappeared!

Yeah Tom that Wolfenstein games rocks. Too funny about the motion sickness though.

So Janan, are you sick? Hope not. Haven't seen ya around much lately.

So what are everyone's Saturday plans? I have none at the present moment.

Today around 2 we are going downtown for the halloween parade. Then after that we brace for the snow. We are supposed to get another foot of snow tonight.

Joy Re: Insomnia Thread...

Oh I wish we had a Halloween parade! We only have the Santa Claus parade in November. It's pretty cool but a Halloween one would be neat too. We have haunted houses you can go through for Halloween but not a parade.

Get some shots if you can, Tom. Have FUN!!!

Think I'm gonna make a big pot of chili today so I can put it in containers for my freezer. Good to take out on nights I don't feel like cooking.

I have some plants to care for today...showering and pruning. Haven't been home in awhile so things have been neglected. Lots to do...

Has anyone tried that "triple berry' oatmeal crisp cereal? Omg it's yummy.

How about "cherry cha cha" activia yogurt? It's got big pieces of cherries in it!

Had it for breakfast this morning.

I feel like playing some Wolfenstein.

Most of my computers are older and out of date

I built one, with 2004 parts and a P4 processor.

I have a imac g3, dell inspiron 7000 laptop, 2004 Compaq laptop, my windows 7 newer desktop, and just bought a couple more computers today

I just bought a hp620lx palmtop pc for $15 and now I am charging it, and both my hp660lx palmtops. And I also bought a ipaq desktop today at a garage sale. It has a pIII processor, 384MB RAM, 20GB hard drive, and has Windows XP right now. It is pretty fast for such low specs! I think Linux will be going on it though.

I might install a different type of linux other then Bodhi then. If enlightenment might be too much for it.

My African Mask alocasia just up and got webs all over it and white specs all over it So I guessed it was spider mites again. I treated every single plant I have twice, once today and once yesterday. Also just to find out almost all of my adeniums, pachypodiums, and jades had some weird type of root rot/root problems. I haven't watered some of them in weeks either, so I wonder why they did that.... I am trying to root them now though so maybe they just got some bug or something.

My parents bought me two bags of sour candy and a bag of hersheys kisses That's my Halloween, lol. It last a while though

Zeeland and Holland here have a parade for every single little thing they can. We have the "tulip festival" which is a large parade with tulips as their main point.

Cam, sent you a PM I sent out the mother of a thousands.

Hope you don't get a cold, and hope you start feeling better soon

My day was both upsetting and bad, but also good and enjoyable. I got new computers and items for them, but quite a few of my plants got that weird rot/sunken in parts and my alocasia got mites a couple days ago. I think I got everything taken care of though.

Thanks Jordan. I'm sorry to hear abut your plants. I think I found a red spider mite on my dragon fruit and I've never had problems with spider mites before. I'll have to spray it when I bring it indoors

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

I've been doing the same kinds of things. Now I'm about to prune one of your mother of a thousand plants that grew nearly 2 feet tall while I was away!!!

It's sunny and beautiful here today. Tonight is Devil's night, so people's cars and windows will likely get egged. What are you doing for Halloween, Janan?

Still unsure about Halloween. We don't get Trick or Treaters out here in the country and I didn't even decorate this year. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, but I just couldn't get in a mood to do it.
