Those are beautiful Sherry! Did you grow those from seed? My mom's friend bought some some heat tolerant geraniums called 'Caliente' They are suppose to take Texas heat well

Yup, I grew them from seed Cam. Not especially fond of red but they are so pretty who wouldn't enjoy them.
I've been changing things around again in my aero-garden! I think I've got it right this time though. I'm going to grow 6" zinnias and cornflowers in the same pod. It'll be like a bouquet of flowers. Some of my hot peppers in pots in my windows are beginning to set buds! Soon I'll be collecting many more pepper seeds from my growings and I can surely share them with you guys. Some are turning out very pretty. You'll see, because I'll show shots later. Do you think you might start some pepper seeds Cam, when you get my envelope? You will just die when you see that "Masquerade" variety. That is one stunningly colorful and gorgeous pepper plant. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
Yeah it is cool having something you grew from seed, bloom. I'm really liking that soft pink one with the white centers. That's the color geranium I was looking for this year.
It's time to re-pot both of them tomorrow morning. They need bigger pots and then they'll bloom like crazy. It really was nice to wake up to the first of the blooms this morning. Kinda cheered me up. : ) |

Yes and I sent you those carnation seeds you requested too...they make excellent and super long-lasting cutflowers Cam.
![]() I think I might have sent you the white marigolds as well, and if so, they are just amazing for cutflowers too. You'll be happy when you see. I shouldn't get your hopes up but wouldn't it be too cool if you got my seeds tomorrow?! Anything's possible and I know your mail service is faster than ours. We'll see, but likely Saturday. : ) |

Re: Insomnia Thread...
They're called French Vanilla and they're like a very very pale yellow but the sun bleaches them nearly white after a few days. They're one of my most favorite flowers.
JaNan requested them, but I thought I sent some to you too Cam. Let me know. The seeds sprout in two days! Back in awhile, crocodile... : ) |

I'm GREAT Cameron! How are you doing? I'm checking the mailbox every day for Sherry's envelope! I can't wait to see what she has sent me. I know she stuck some secret surprises in there and I am bouncing off the walls!

Tom, are those white sweet bell peppers?
I got a mixed sweet bell pepper packet that showed one on the package. I was wondering if we bought the same thing!

Yes, sweet bell peppers. My package was just a small zip bag with a paper label thrown in with instructions on planting them with marker on the outside saying "assorted sweet peppers"
My guess is that they just grabbed seeds from peppers that may have been cross polinated and shoved them in a bag for sale. You can see them sitting on top of the emily's garden on my webcam Last edited by tbaleno : 04-07-2011 at 10:14 PM. |
