Morning Gang!

Those little buggers reproduce very quickly! Today is supposed to be a really nice sunny day at about 70 degrees. I know it would be a ton of work, but maybe you can take them all outside and shoot them with the hose. You'll have to get on the undersides of the leaves too, but I have eliminated white flies this way. Then you will just have the gnats to worry about anyway. ~J

Hi Janan, I havent seen many luckily, of either gnat or white flies lol. Every once in awhile I see a couple flying around and I start spraying again LOL. I think I'm getting some control over them but I'm not going to take a break lol

I hope everyone is well. I've been very busy lately.


Cam that plant is gorgeous and thanks for showing us shots.


Janan, here is my "Rapunzel" doll. She's over 20 years old now, as my mom got her for me long before I started working at The Bradford Exchange too. I've been called "Rapunzel" all my life by people because of my long blonde hair, so my mom wanted me to have her.


She's been in a box for two decades though and taking her out for awhile was a real treat...





Her dress was a little wrinkly but...





One day she'll be worth a small fortune...

She is very beautiful Sherry, and she looks just like you! The detail on even the teeny little brush is very impressive. I knew I would love her and I do! The open mouth porcelain dolls are always valued more than the closed mouth too! All they ever do is increase in value.

I have a porcelain fairy doll collection. I will try to get some shots for you later, maybe tomorrow. (I'm sure the guys absolutely LOVE this line of the conversation!!!!!!) ~J

Gosh thanks Janan...what a nice compliment.


I think she's so pretty, so who would mind being told they look like her! My mom of course raved on when she got me the doll that I just had to have her because of the resemblance and my hair...and how I'd been called "Rapunzel" so often.


Personally, I've always loved the story of Rapunzel and was fascinated by the length of her hair when I was a child...


Now I wonder if she hated washing it like I do, and if it made her hotter than hell in the summertime!!!


I think it's time for us to start a new thread, Janan!


I don't want our doll pics to get lost in the many pages and I'd really like to take a look at my dolls from time to time without having to open the boxes. I think a thread for this sort of thing would be appropriate and we could re-post our doll shots and other girl stuff. What do you think? I was considering calling it "Girly Girl Things" or "Girly Girl's Thread" ....not sure yet.


I also have a lot of other girly things to show over time, as no doubt you do also. This would give us a spot to talk about it and post shots but not bore the men!


I like looking at guy stuff though too and wish guys would take more pics...hint hint. Blake started a cool thread once about his tractor and some other people posted there's as well...Janan, I believe you were one of them! That was a good thread but I wished I had a tractor to post a shot of.


Here's my Cinderella doll too. Although you saw my mom's doll, it was a dark shot and showed no detail. Mine has been in the box for nearly as long as "Rapunzel" has...20 years! She's the biggest doll The Bradford Exchange ever sold...





She's more of a child Cinderella but of course my mom insisted I looked like her too when I was little. I think my mom would think any doll with blonde hair and blue eyes looks like me! Too funny!


Well maybe I better save the other shots for the new thread? Will you join if I start it, Janan? I think you and I might be the only girly girls on this site who are enthusiatic enough to take pictures of our dolls!

Hey don't laugh...my ex-boyfriend had a beautiful wooden rack made to display his 200 Hot Wheels dinky cars still in their original boxes! He was 10 years older than me!


So you men are no different!


I am about to post a shot of what I had for dinner in the dinner thread. My girlfriend stopped by unexpectedly with something very fattening and delicious to tempt me and so I shared my chili with her.


She's gone now to her new man's house for the night, to play naked twister! LoL!

I like seeing the boys toys too! DH has a knife collection and a spittoon collection and of course a GUN collection. What is the saying the bigger the boys the more expensive the toys? I was just doing a google search for Kalanchoe daigremontiana red and clicked the Images tab to see if I could find the one I have and on page 22 they have your "Sticks on Fire" cuttings picture listed twice and the view out your window with bananas.org as the website location. Funny! ~J

It's finally getting better thank goodness after a solid week. I don't know if it's just time or if these pills have helped, but I'm not complaining (at least I try not to).

Is your name really spelled JaNan? Why is there a capital 'N'? Is it pronounced "Jah-nan"? I thought before that the capital N was a spelling error but now I think it really is the way you spell it and I was confused. Is Janan short for something? I like it and have never heard it before.
