I saw some White Swan coneflower at Lowes for $3 but they were a little sickly. Hopefully my sunflower seeds will come up in my butterfly garden

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Just checking in but gotta go for a bit. I'll return soon. Hope all is well.

Thanks for the link, Tom.

Yes, yes Greg, "Lemon" is now "Mango"!!! I like it. When I first saw him I thought for sure you would call him "Banana"!

You can start some 'white swan' seeds from me, Cam..I have pink and purple too...plus a yellow color.

Gotta go. Check out the 'plant people' thread for a laugh...

Hi Sherry. I look forward to growing the coneflowers. I can't believe how hot it is. I'm having to water very frequently due to the heat and dry weather.

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Did you directly sow the seeds outside, Cam? It's tough to do because of the heat and weather conditions but it can still be done. Better though to start them in pots then transplant later.

It's been real hot and muggy here but today the humidity has laid off a bit thankfully. I'm still waiting on personal mail and just got a bunch more bills today. I hope they get back into the swing of things soon.

So glad everything is coming up in your aero-garden! Now you just watch stuff grow. Make sure to keep the water topped up and add the nutrients every 1-2 weeks.

Right now the seeds are still on some of them. I have one empty pot that I may transfer them into. I would like to plant them in my butterfly garden but I'm afraid the sun would bake them lol

Good morning Sherry. I went around my garden today and my Black Pearl Pepper has a pepper on it. I was so happy to see it. I told some friends that I would send them some seeds. I wanted to also show everyone pictures of my banana cannas. Its taking them a while to grow. I'm hoping that they get several feet tall by the end of the year. I've been watering and feeding them very frequently but they don't seem to be growing fast.

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Hope everyone's having a great Saturday. Nice to see you're back, Janan.

Gorgeous new plant, Cam. The flowers are real pretty. Bet you're so happy you got it...what are your plans for it?

Hi John!

Nice to see you've joined us again. So do you think you might pick up an aero-garden, or are you still deciding? I'm sure you'd enjoy it. Speaking of which, I have some new A-G shots to show shortly...

So it's sunny and gorgeous here today...but hot. Not as hot as it's been but hot nonetheless.

I've been out running errands and hanging with pals. Chat soon...

Good evening everyone. Sherry the new Butterfly weed plant is in my butterfly garden now. It's supposed to get 36" tall and about 2 feet wide. I want it to take over since my sunflowers and Love Lies bleeding seeds havent come up, and the Red Sage arent looking to good. I just finished watering it.

Hi Gang! Well it has been exciting to say the least around here the past few weeks. Here is a very short video of just ONE of recent events (just click on it and I think it will play):

Sorry I was shaking when I shot this and then the battery died. But the pasture that backs up to mine caught on fire and we were on stand by to evacuate. They had three towns fire departments and two helicopters dropping chemicals to try and control it. I've got to hand it to these fire departments, they were out here for two and a half days straight to keep a handle on it.

My neighbor was bailing hay in his hay field and a spark from the bailer caught the hay field on fire. It was very scary! I was very scared for my animals and I was running around trying to think how I could save all of them.

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

You'll have to show us the planter later, Tom.

Yes, you told me about this when it happened Janan and I'm so glad you're ok and so are all the animal children. What a scary ordeal though.

I saw all your new shots...they're gorgeous Janan.

Oh yes Cam, I forgot about your butterfly garden...that new plant will be perfect.

I was about to post in the "Plant People" thread, as I have a new character to add to the story...
