What color are your petunias, do you know?

What were you almost tempted with?

Talking Re: Insomnia Thread...

My petunias are bi-colored. They're light purple with a darker purple in the center! They smell amazing and I've been whiffing them all evening before I went out and since I've returned. They're so sweet smelling. Did you know that hummers love petunias?!

I was tempted by some of the bi-colored pelargoniums and the colorful ornamental grasses...as well as some hibiscus types too. Oh and there was this mixed pot that had all these different kinds of flowers and pretty foliage plants that I would have loved to buy. It was 20 bucks but it was stunning and if I was doing outdoor gardening I'd have bought it in a new york minute!

So how do you like the Natural Health Food Remedy thread? That information is from an amazing book I have called Food Remedies. It's just the best and worth sharing, so I hope you like it. Tomorrow I'm gonna post about bananas!!!

I loved the story you included in the reflections thread, JaNan. That had me bawling in no time. I'm sappy like that and it doesn't take much to get me started, emotionally. That really was so beautiful though and I'm glad it's part of our collection. Hope you liked my two stories also but yours was super special.

Wanna know what I got at the grocery store? Hope Trina's making out ok. Haven't heard from her in a bit but I saw she was logged on a couple times. She's likely just killer busy. Moving is a lot of work.

I LOVE the new Food thread!!! I will have to dig some of my books out. (I have a huge collection of books!!!) I have only been digging out Gardening Books for that thread.

Thank you Sherry! That reminded me of my own Grandmother so much. She was an earth Angel! I always get weepy too! I have a lot of those so be prepared, unless you don't want me post them. But they are gut wrenchers and have the tissues handy!

Did you see the post about mushrooms today? I couldn't wait to do it because I love them so much. How cool that they're actually really good for us. Glad you like the thread, JaNan. I do too and look forward to it growing with more foods and information.

How about the zodiac thread? It's kind of fun and eventually I'll include everyone's signs, including their Chinese sign too. It's entertaining but with some undeniable truth to it also.

I can't wait to post about bananas in the morning, in the food thread. If I had the energy, I'd post it now but too tired. It's pretty cool stuff though.

So I'm all done with the antibiotics!!!

I took my last dose at 11 pm tonight! My finger looks great too, compared to how it did. It's healing super quickly now from the fast-healing polysporin. No more sting or anything. I'm so glad I kept it clean with the peroxide and regularily applied ointments. I still clean it continually throughout the day and night as well, to make sure it heals with no scar.

I grew my nails really super long and I want to paint them, but with this finger the way it was, I wasn't inspired. Now I am. Yippppeeeeee....I'm all better!

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Wow Cam, those are so pretty and cheerful looking! Thanks for posting. I was wondering if you forgot about us! Hope you're enjoying spring so far.

Yes Tom, I just might do that. I can even bring my own favorite nail polish and they'll use it! On occasion I've gone to get them done but I usually just do it myself. I have this nice shimmery purple color that's one of my favorites, so I might pick that one. I did my toes last night with it. Wow, my nails grew long in just a short time. Kinda like my hair...I have to have it trimmed every couple months. I don't want it any longer than it is now. My one girlfriend thinks I should grow it to my feet!

So I took some shots I'm loading and I wanna post a bit of information later on bananas in the food thread. Hope everyone's enjoying a great Sunday so far.

I'm around if you guys wanna chat...

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

My Sunday has been relaxing & peaceful so far. I just made a green tea and I'm gonna type out some great info for the food thread, about the health and nutrition of bananas.

I posted some flower shots in the 'growing flowers indoors' thread Cam....hope you get a chance to see them. Ok then, I'll post them here too.

Celosia...

Even the leaves have purple on them...

These are my sweet smelling petunias...

So sorry to hear you've been unwell, Cam. I hate being sick and hope I'm not again. Maybe you'll feel better today.

So about those bananas, gonna go type a bit...

I've been sipping on green tea with peach all day today. It sure is yummy!

Sorry to hear you have been feeling puny Cameron! Your ditch lilies must like the heat, they are looking pretty darned good considering our weather.

Well what can I say? Gorgeous petunia and Celosia! Did you know that Celosia is edible? I just learned that last year.

Thanks Janan. I feel much better now, I sometimes wake up with a sore throat some mornings. Usually I dont water my Ditch lilies but this year I did. The blooms really surprised me because its never had so many. I found out from a gardening buddy that the variety that I have is an heirloom daylily. I started with a couple of plants from a friend (she passed away from cancer a few years ago) Hers never bloomed because they were in full shade. Now I'm going to have to separate them this fall because the clump is taking over my flowerbed. The flower stems are 39"40" tall, almost taller than my canna blooms.

Hiya Re: Insomnia Thread...

Hi, Gang!

The org was down all day but it just got back up and running this evening. I was in the middle of posting stuff this morning when it crashed.

I've got a few new things to post...

Thanks, about my celosia and petunias. I'm sure loving them both now that they're blooming for me.

I got a shot of my dinner today for the dinner thread. Boy was it yummy. You'll see soon...

Oh and I got the information all typed out about bananas for the new Natural Health Food Remedy thread. So excited for you to read how truly amazing bananas really are...

I also have some new info for the Zodiac thread and a new story for the Reflections thread too.

I didn't know that Celosia was edible, but a lot of flowers are so I'm not surprised.

I used to get sore throats too Cam, and would wake up with no voice at all! Then I got my tonsils out and it all stopped.

Chat soon. See you guys in the threads...
