![]() You're welcome to join us anytime, Nannerfunboi!!!
![]() Sorry to hear you're dealing with snow! ![]() ![]() I guess it's like anything Tom...you get out what you put in. I treat my plants like children and I'm constantly catering to them, one way or the other. I'm sure all your extra care will pay off. Good luck with your peppers. Let us know what types you'll be enjoying. Cameron, your Nelumbo plants look terrific! ![]() I'm getting a few last minute things together for the packages I'm sending off tonight. I can't wait for you guys to get them and enjoy them. I'm glad you're excited Cam. ![]() So how's everyone's Sunday going? I would have posted sooner but the phone keeps ringing. ![]() So who's around today? I'm just hanging out doing stuff and I gotta change my aero-garden water today and add some nutrients and epsom salts. I even add egg shells for slow-release calcium. ![]() : ) |

![]() Hope you're having fun Cam. I was just about to do a few things so I'll be at my computer on and off for a bit.
I guess I'll go change the aero-garden water now... Oh I think it's supposed to rain here this afternoon...but at least it's not snow! ![]() Please show us the pink wisteria from Dean. I have seeds for the Chinese purple variety and also for Japanese Florabunda. : ) |

![]() Looks good, Cam.
![]() Yeah I get bored with video games fast too...except for the old arcade games, which I love. I got my aero-garden water changed, so everything's been freshened. Looking forward to seeing all the new growth and developments next week, as a result. ![]() I'll be around on and off...still getting seeds ready. ![]() : ) |

![]() That looks great Cameron!
I had a big ole lengthy blah, blah, blah on what we did yesterday and the computer decided it was time for updates or something - so I lost it all. Anyway, we did a lot of running around yesterday. Here are a couple of shots I took on my cell phone (sorry about quality). I just thought this guy was gorgeous!!!! ![]() ![]() ~JaNan

![]() Sherry, I will probably be hounding you with questions about my blueberry bushes. I hear they are very similar to holly as far as care and fertalizer and stuff.
I found a guy about a mile or two down the street that sells pine mulch. I put in an order for 3 cubic yards. If my math is right that should do 3 feet by 40 feet by 3 inches deep. |

![]() Stop worrying about those darn blueberry shrubs, Tom!
![]() They're as easy as pie to grow. ![]() Just throw down a good acidic fertilizer and give them lots of sunlight, and they'll be wonderful for you. ![]() : ) |

![]() I'm reading lots of forums and everyone is like "they all die on me. They are tough to grow." I've never heard anyone say it was easy but you.
I will try not to stress it too much.... |

![]() Dying, or not producing any fruit?
If they're dying or not bearing fruits then it's obvious their requirements are not being met. Soil testing to see what the pH they're growing in is, will tell all. Just do lots of research and follow the best advice and see how it goes. Buying cultivars that grow well in your area and taking the advice of the nursery you buy them from, is the very best you can do. If the right requirements are met, they really are not hard to grow. You'll see, Tom. Have faith. ![]() : ) |

![]() Couldn't you amend your soil Cameron?
Sherry, that is an albino peacock, And he has two albino peahen girlfriends in the pen with him, he was all blown up courting one of them and she was totally ignoring him. I was awestruck! That tail kind of looks like a giant snowflake, so I thought you would like him! ![]() She's saying yeah right whatever! ![]() Here he is relaxed after she has walked off not giving him the time of day! ![]() ![]() ~J

![]() I could amend it but the water here is alkaline too so I would probably have to spend alot of money on acidifiers. Plus I'm the only one in my family that likes blueberries lol. Those peacocks are so beautiful! I want one LOL

![]() You have any coffee drinkers in the house? Use your coffee grounds and any coffee not drank mix it with your water. Lots of fruit trees and bushes love it. Just make sure it is unsweetened!
![]() Hubby saves his from their coffee pot at the armory and brings it home to me. ![]()

![]() That's hilarious JaNan!
![]() I don't know how she can ignore him though...he's gorgeous!!! Thanks so much for those terrific shots. I've never seen a bird like that before in my life. I'd take him home with me if I could. ![]() Cam, you're too funny! ![]() Have you ever had your soil tested? Most plants thrive in a pH of 6.0 - 6.8. and I wondered what your reading was, or if you know. Alright you guys, enough chatting...or I'll never get these seeds done. Also too, bad weather is blowing in and it's snowing right now!!! I cannot believe it, but it is. It's like snowy rain. Yuck. Still going to the mailbox though later, as it's not far and I want these seeds mailed tonight. Don't worry, because cold will not damage the seeds. It's just plants and cuttings that could be damaged but not seeds. Oh and JaNan, I thought it was cool when you asked me for the Hungarian banana sweet peppers, because I already had them packaged for you! For Cameron too! I just thought they were cool because they're shaped like bananas...thought you guys would like to have them being tthat this is the banana site. ![]() Are you sure you guys don't want anything else? Better catch me while I'm in the mood and before those envelopes get sealed up for good! I still need to get rid of some...surely you want more seeds Cam and JaNan? ![]() Have a look through the thread again and let me know... : ) |

![]() Hi Sherry I tested my soil once before and the pH is between 7.5-7.8. I think that was it lol Sherry I looked through the seed thread again and I like the different types of sunflowers.
