I picked up the pink doll at my first ever Macy's day-after-christmas sale foray from 1981 or '83--the red doll is from a Woolworth's store, can't remember which year, her hands and head are animated.

These guys are older than they look--about 15 years older.

This fanciful duo got me through some rough times these past 2 weeks. Found them hanging out in the florist's section of a San Francisco Safeway where I dragged myself for a hot jambalaya soup and fresh roll. They gave me a much needed boost of light and happy to push on.

My oldest daughter Anna was going to take a bus from New York city to Delaware yesterday ... but the buses were canceled due to the storm and she ended up staying with relatives in Long Island.

Well ... it didn't go as planned since I didn't think I needed a thermometer.... big mistake. I did it by eye and ended up gooey so I put it in the oven and.... voila! Pretty good tasting buttery peanut brittle

Nice holiday treat.

Most of it is headed to Virginia as gifts...... probably won't be the cool uncle much longer!

Great slideshow mjd!... I'll have to work that one out for the future.
