Default Los Angeles

I was looking for a photo to post in the image thread and found some odd random shots of Los Angeles and the surrounding area so I thought I'd start an LA photo thread and update it as I get new pics. Enjoy!

Lets start with the view from my couch looking out the living room window.

This is Century City in the background.

The Getty museum as seen from the Northbound 405 fwy.

The view from the dinner table at our friends old house in Malibu.

Some Palm trees at the Hollywood Forever cemetery. This is where a lot of stars are laid to rest and where we watch projected movies in the summer time.

Some Palm trees in Downtown LA.

Sunset in Downtown LA as seen from the Bonaventure Hotel's rotating restaurant.

Here is some Bananas growing wild at what used to be the Tropical Terrace in Solstice Canyon (Malibu) a place we like to go hiking. The home burned to the ground in 1982 in a forest fire. The land was then donated to the state and opened to the public.

Here is a video showing some pictures of the house before it burned and little of the surrounding area including the waterfall that I posted a picture of in the image thread.

More photos soon.

Your neighbour has a beautiful palm. And thanks for this very illustrative guide, maybe I'll see those places with my own eyes one day.

My first attempt at a real landscape photo with this camera. Look at the snow! It was still hazy today so I'm going to try again tomorrow from the same spot both morning and at sunset.

Well no luck this morning, way too much haze, but we are going back for sunset. The haze seems to be burning off some so maybe I'll get something decent then.

That's a beautiful LAX sunset Chris!
