Been slaying some demons, but I'm back!

Hey Everyone-

I know it's been a while, but I've finally decided to stop standing in the corner and rejoin the Bananaramas. I left rather abruptly, and I feel that I owe all of you an explanation for my truancy. As many of you know, I am an actor and author. What many do not know, however, is that I am also a politician. A rather controversial one at that. Back in 2005, I made every AP-affiliated newspaper in the world, and it has followed me ever since.

As many of you also know, I am the chief conservation officer for the only wild dawn redwood forest in the world, outside of China, and there is a website for that.

A few years back, an anti traced the link in my sig to that website, back here, and sent me a PM with some key information; enough to convince me that he knew who I was. It's a classic move; a scare tactic. A precursor to doxing. Not knowing if it was a just a freak, or possibly someone I had sent to prison, I contacted the admins on here, who gave me his name, IP addy and email addy. In conjunction with the Bureau, it was determined he was just a freak POS. I sent him an email letting him know I knew who he was as well. End of story.

At that point, however, I was tired of all of this shyte and just decided to take a break from everything. Then my brother killed himself and I just went full recluse for a while, sorting everything out. I have since separated the wheat from the chaff, and I am now back; ready to share and learn with everyone on here, once again. You guys are like family, and I'm sorry I didn't call you for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I hope y'all understand.

Thank you. That means a lot to me. It is people like you on this forum, that brought me back. I really do hope that you stick around. Perhaps at some point, you will share with us what you were truly looking for.

Thanks for the update and sorry about your Brother. .... As for the POS Anti I've had a couple of those make unanimous threats to me by phone. I just call them out with some very unflattering comments about how gutless & no hair on his gonads he was. So now if he shows up at my house, he just demonstrated he was a very real threat. Myself & Colt would have a very real discussion with him while the wife calls the Sheriff. .... The POS didn't show and I didn't have to go around looking over my shoulder.

Dude - when you go on a forum on the internet, you are in contact with all types - most normal, decent folk, but there are a small percentage of arse-wipes that, as Michael Caine's character said in Batman, "Some men just want to watch the world burn." Unfortunately, since they can't burn the world, they just find a target on-line and try to spread misery. Gotta have thick skin, but even then some jerks still manage to get through.

I grow a few nanners, but my orchids are my main stress relief to keep me calm so I don't just go totally ape-shyte over some jerk that is pushing my buttons. That would not be a pretty sight, and might even get me in trouble.

(any arse-wipes want to come and 'play in my sandbox', just be aware - I'm a retired Marine with PTSD, and anger issues. I'm also a 'proven' weapons expert who happens to also be ambidextrous - no matter which arm you damage, I still got one more. But all-in-all I'd rather just tend to my orchids, and avoid the hassle)

Appreciate you putting your story out there.. the truth is, we all are attracted to this and other hobbies, as a means to get away from everyday life and issues. We all have demons, tragedy, and things about ourselves that we prefer to keep to ourselves. The anonymity of the internet offers us a chance to blend into groups of folks based on a mutual interest, not based on social structure. The internet also opens us up to individuals we may normally never encounter, and there is good and bad with that.
Either way, welcome back to Bananas, and the internet.. may this go around be more positive for you!
