All 11 points are wrong? Thanks for the heads up. I havent read any horticultural studies because mostly I have just been looking for advice from other gardeners. So maybe for garlic I get bad advice.
I will Google for horticultural studies about garlic.
EDIT. I have ordered more garlic. I will ignore the information in the article when I plant those and learn which method works best.

Good plan. Use a fertilizer that contains micronutrients from the electrolytic series (copper, zinc, iron) and most of the disease problems will not be an issue. I think you're already doing this anyway. Aliums are rarely bothered by pests except some varieties of grubs. Keeping your soil pH around 6.0 to 6.2 will mostly eliminate this problem. Of course you do not want to plant tuberous plants in hard clay soils -- nor would you plant any other food producing plant in that soil. Aliums will freely interbreed, and as a consequence do not rely on seed for reproduction of next years crop. Propagation by extra (or conserved) tubers (or saved fingers of garlic) usually works well. Alliums and most tubers are heavy feeders in comparison to leafy produce, etc. Start out with an acid-forming high nitrogen formula and about 3 months or by mid-summer -- which ever comes first, supplement with a high phosphate formula and plant hormones.

Finally got the garden in this weekend and last night:

3 kinds of cucumbers across 8 mounds
4 kinds of tomatoes across 11 plants
3 kinds of chilis across 12 plants
4 brussels sprouts
8 cauliflower
zucchini
green onions (not confident these will do anything)
Sweet Basil
Sage
Pineapple Sage
Dill
Oregano
Peppermint
Lemon Balm
And room for a few others if I find something....

banana hybrid.

Lowe's supplier for fruiting bananas (and other subtropicals) in the western U.S. is LaVerne Nursery Inc. It is LaVerne that prints the labels for Lowe's. Decades ago LaVerne ordered Goldfinger from a tissue culture supplier (AgriStarts). At the time, AgriStarts was selling Dwarf Namwa as Goldfinger. LaVerne has kept propagating that cultivar under the name Goldfinger and even their sales manager can't get them to change the name.

Thanks Darkman.

These kind of ferns would do well around the rock in your backyard......I think it could be overwintered outside in your area.

I think fern is a 7-8 year old plant.
This plant is is a tree fern reaching 20+ feet in optimum growing conditions.
I put a link for extra reading

I picked it as a 1 gallon container plant for $4.99 at the Jensen Beach, Fla. Home Depot.

Now in zones 4- 5-6-7-8-is the time to split and replant your Hostas or other spring plants and ephemerals.

Today I did a few plants (hostas) under a few pine trees in the yard.

.Method was with small tiller
