These are my Pineapples last Year from Mid-Oct.. One is in the office now, and I gave one away.



Biggest one on the Left is now.. a lil bigger I'd say.. :^)

dude I just started growing some this year and there not even close to your size when do they bare fruit? have yours done it already?

I just ordered a Ananas comosus 'Sweet Stripes' these are its characteristics:

Variegated pineapple
Incredibly ornamental
Sweet edible fruit

Its a Variegated Sugarloaf..




I think I'm done shopping.. :^)

I have this type, but it has never flowered. I just put it in the ground this winter and it seems to be growing faster now.

Looks good. I planted two pineapple plants about a year ago and they are the exact same size. I don't think they have grown at all.

Here is one from the Miami Fruit and spice park flowering.


Mine gets more pink with shade, the more sun I give it the pink seems to fade away.

Good thing I didn't listen to my mom then; she was adamant about them preferring shade

Mine are yellow as all get-out though, and don't seem to be doing much in the way of roots. Any clues as to why that might be?
