No idea, but get them out of the shade, and feed them..

They're not in shade; they've been potted up on the pool deck that gets full sun most of the day. Thing is, I started them from store-bought pineapple tops and had in glass jars of water in a bathroom to root and they were nice and green back then. Now after all this time potted up outside the leaves have turned yellow. Some of the tips died back, maybe over/underwatering? I'm stumped :^(

Ugh that looks good; if I didn't like you so much I'd be tempted to be horribly jealous of how well everything you have is growing...well maybe I am a little green

I don't think I've ever fertilized my pineapples so you might've hit the nail on the head with that one. Would the tips brown from no fert or is that just from bad watering? Also what do you feed yours?

Thanks in advance.

Okay thanks; how often? Triple 13 is chemical fert?

Also thoughts on the ferts mentioned in this link? They seem cheaper to obtain

"P" is for plants: Human urine plus ash equals tomato fertilizer, study says - Scientific American

Teeny pineapple is adorable. I know I need to move my first pineapple into a bigger pot(or even dare I put it into the ground??). Then maybe it'll start growing again too.

I have two more in pots too. Seems like I just twist the tops off and stuff them into a pot of dirt and they grow.

Wolfy! I've seen your pineapple too; it looks great also. Do you feed it similar stuff?

Original pineapple in same pot. It was planted in potting soil and a yorkie knocked it off the porch. It lost most of the dirt in that accident and I just set it aside because I figured it was dead now. It had other ideas and grew quite happily. I will soon transplant the thing into some actual dirt. I've given it a touch of random fertilizers when I remember it exists. (edit: it was under a bunch of weeds and elephant ears so it wasn't getting any sun, probably why it's so pale now?)

These are two newer ones. I just stuck them into a pot of potting soil and they've gotten a little random fertilizers, like the original, when I remember about them. As you can see, one got whacked by the weed eater the other day because I forgot they were on the ground behind some grown up weeds. Oops.
