the dreaded & feared...



FREEZING RAIN!!!



The highways will be full of bad accidents! We get freezing rain here really bad...black ice that's slippery as hell.


I've watched cars spin completely out of control from it. Hope people stay off the roads. It's supposed to hit around 4 am.

We were flooded yesterday from all the rain, but although the water level is high today, it's receded considerably...








A crappy shot I took yesterday through a foggy window but you can see how the water was up over the bank and on the grass! ...




It was super mild for this time of year yesteday and if the streets weren't so wet I'd have gone for a bikeride. Right now we're getting a bit cooler again and sitting at -5°C...22°F.

Maybe the last chance to post a pic of the snow. It will be much warmer in a few days. As you can see, I`m not brave enough to overwinter more than one Basjoo outside...

I spent last week in the mountains, traditionally in Krynica Górska (ski resort in the Beskids)

Today is cloudy as usual but not that cold and for tomorrow on the forecast says that a warm southern wind will keep temps up untill Sunday at least.

Also Central Eurpoe should benefit a little from it.... or so a german ebay seller told me ...'cause I'm waiting for him to ship my 'nanas.....

Glad to hear you're finally getting that pleasantly cool Roman winter. Enjoy and may it stay like that for a long time.
We will benefit from it by moving from the -10 to -5°C to the -5 to 0°C range.
