I don't know if it's not considered a drug in the west sew. They fight poppies.

Not too late at all, Linda. We celebrate Christmas until the 6th of January...the Epiphany.

Here's a shot I took today, of more icicles outside my window...

It's a cool night at windchill temps of -17°C...1°F.

Hope everybody's enjoying the holiday season.

Tell me about it.
It's gonna get below -10°C. Btw. inground planted Makarska Trachys - no damage so far.

2 so far. But if they continue doing as well as they are, I will plant all the others inground as well. To my garden, city property and give some to my neighbours to plant. It will be a paradise in 10 or so years.

Now what other palms are resilient enough to withstand the cold. I would say that sabals are worth the try, some other Trachy types... any advice? Nannorrhops maybe, jubaea of course... butia maybe... We'll see. Jubaeas are difficult to germinate. I can't seem to find the proper way of germinating them. None of the advice that works for others works for me.
