Ante,

I showed the pictures of your little girl to my wife. She says it's a very cute girl. And a very funny foto where she is cooking !

I didn't eaven have the slightest idea how an olive looked when it wasn't in a glass yar in the supermarket.

The olives that I buy in the supermarket are not round. Is that because they loose some of the original oil/moisture? or is that another type of olive.

This is what I know as an olive.

That is table type of olives. Some are grown for oil production and some only for consumation.
For example our sort of olives U canot prepare for food while are still green only whan the are fully ripe. And its also big diff in taste between green and black (salted) Olives.

Salted ancovyes filetes, own "sailors" black olives, capers, all in real Olive oil. Dont forget to prepare enough wine for latter, U R gonna need it

OK, after all day in yard pruning Olives I want to share this pics with all of You arround. New season in Olive yard just started with some general pruning and cleanings. Beautifull day after all rains we had earlyer couldnt keep me out of dirt

This is Olive tree after growth season, all bushy and hard to menage in general:

After some interventions with propper tools:

They look like this:

After burning all bad parts we get clean yard and some future ash fert:

This will we use for BBQ with friends:

Looking much better isnt it:

Ashes, beware Soapy, they are very alkaline, more than 95% of all plants I've ever grown dies out at such concentration. 1kg of ashes can be mixed together with acidic soils, water, compost and this entire mixture would weigh up to 50kg. So you see the ratio.

Ante, Olive plants are now very fashionable decoration in west and north Europe.
Prices for plant are quite high, for ex. here in Poland 30 -40 cm high plant costs 40 -90zł / 10€ - 22,5€
So if you have place for small nursery.....

Hahaha, we can allways figure something out

I did send some seedlings to our late friend Tog in Malezia and 4/6 did survive the trip and had growth after. Wish I can see them now.
So, as I always say, nothing is imposible
