Default Warm basement will they go dormant ?

I’m putting several banana plants in my basement there’s a little bit of light that comes through a window but not much it’s downstairs where the furnace is in it gets quite warm down there. My question is will the plants go dormant over the winter or do I have to get a grow light and just keep them going. Do they need cold weather to go dormant or will 78° maybe even 80 at times be OK for them with a little bit of lignt over the winter.

I've wondered this, as i have a polytunnel/ greenhouse where I grow my plants from April- early October. I'm in London, so I can get away with it just about. However, as temps fall, I bring them inside. so normally it's high humidity and varying temps from 10-40 degrees over this period. inside I have lots of storage heaters with windows, so it's constantly 19+ degrees. The light is reduced also. but do the plants grow?
last year my findings was yes, they do. they just didn't look a healthy green due to the lack of sunlight which affected the chlorophyll in the leaf.
Variegated plants did as well, but a lot slower. so root rot is an issue with slow growth. its hard to know when to water and stuff. but will hardy bananas like namwa's then they'll grow i think
