I always enjoy watching your videos and have watched them more than once. In the last one you mentioned the "tell tale bloom" of Raji Puri. Can you explain that for me please?

It's exceptionally large for the size of the plant, very colorful (red female flowers), and has highly imbricated, persistent bracts on the male bud. See below.

Thumbs up Re: Rmplmnz Garden Tour

Another great video! Love all of your different varieties/species. I rescue a bunch of different plants from the dump/side of the road and most of them are doing great too with a little love. Been adding to my "jungle floor" and it helps out greatly with watering. Thanks Rumplmnz!

I can Not keep count? I keep slipping into LaLa stupor land-world!!! Very Impressive Fantastic Show $20 tour! Cool stories... I'm sure I'll watch again and again.

Maybe something for size comparison like a golf club or tennis ball but overall jaw-dropping.

Hi Rmplmnz

Looking great, after that freak weather you had a few year back, where you lost a few nanas, are you back to where you'd like to be.

I have 2 big plantings of lemongrass - one at each end of the lines of bananas and mangos/palms. When the bugs spawn heavy I do like the cane cutters in S FL do. Cut 5 long leaves and wrap 2 around the wrists and ankles and one around my neck. Tied with a knot. No skeeter bites! I wear T shirts and shorts so I need the wrist and ankle leaves. lol

Yes, excellent. We have all the corms you want. Ele Ele's are somewhat temperamental to transplant (I have a few holes in the ground were the Ele Ele corms did not make it).

Default Rmplmnz Garden Tour 2015-08-01

Thanks for the motivation Jeff ("Floridagrower")!

I shot out this morning before the daily torrential downpour and shot a garden video.

I started in the front yard and worked my way around back "The Nickel Tour":

Streets flooded right after this video....
Heavy downpours drenching Tampa Bay
A flood warning has been issued
Heavy downpours drenching Tampa Bay - Story | abcactionnews.com | Tampa Bay News, Weather, Sports, Things To Do | WFTS-TV
TAMPA - Heavy rain is prompting barricaded streets and major flooding in areas like south Tampa and Davis Island this afternoon.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers first training practice was delayed due to weather, with an update to come this afternoon regarding the status of practice.

In addition, flooding has been reported at Dale Mabry and Henderson, per Tampa police dispatch.
Tracking strong storms; Flood warning in effect

Updated:
Tampa shattered a 42-year-old record for the amount of rainfall for Aug. 1.

By 3 p.m., it had already received 3.1 inches of rain. The previous record, from 1973, was 2 inches.

And that's in addition to the rainfall that has swamped Tampa Bay since July 24, thanks to a stubborn low pressure system that has stalled over Florida, said Tyler Fleming, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.

"July and August tend to be the wetter months," Fleming said. "But what we've been seeing is rainfall that has been more persistent."
