Can't sleep very well after 73-74F. If its 70's outside can get to 80 inside. If it happens to be on 2-3 hours overnight that is 27 to 40 cents. I can live with that.

Lots of 70s by me (probably should last to saturday). It actually feels warm out there, but the mornings are still cool (at around 46F today). Spring is definitely showing its presence lately, and the forecast calls for many days getting to 60 or above, with a few 50s also. Nights all above freezing for the next 10 days, so its looking good for plants.

Re: I have SPRING FEVER so Badly!!! Anyone else???
I think its spring time here. I been working on a new project on my little plot of land. Last Saturday I took down my old cabanna it was rotting. I got a new one its metal. Im putting it up tomorrow. Any how while I was in the process of taking it down I made the plant bed next to it bigger so I could plant some nanners and flowers and a sago. Here is my new bedThe tulips and poppys are all coming up This is the top of the bomb shelter. Allot of people built them in the 50's. Its under ground its pertty neat actually. |

Can't even coun't the apples any more. Just 1 tree will be at 30-40 after I trim it back to 1 per spot. Possible 100 before that. Other tree probably 15-20.

Tomorrow - It's official!!!
![]() (from WikiAnswers) What is the first day of Spring 2010? In: Seasons, Calendar Saturday, March 20 - in the Northern Hemisphere In the US and Canada: Saturday, March 20, at approximately midnight is the official first day of spring for 2010 in the Northern Hemisphere (Vernal Equinox). On that day, the Southern Hemisphere observes the Autumnal Equinox, which is the equivalent of the start of Autumn. First day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere In general, the four seasons correspond to the relative position of the sun to the earth. Meteorological determination of spring is calculated according to when the sun passes through the equatorial plane. When going from winter to spring, the sun is moving north; as soon as the sun crosses the equator, we call it spring. (This applies to places north of the equator.) First day of spring in the Southern Hemisphere The official date of spring south of the equator (corresponding to the first official day of fall in places north of the equator) would be around September 20/21, depending on when the sun crosses the equator. Countries such as Australia and New Zealand, however, designate the first day of September as the official first day of spring. Background information regarding the seasons: Spring comes in between the 19th to the 23rd of March and at different times. It changes on a yearly basis because the first official day of spring is the (Spring) Vernal Equinox. This is when the sun is directly above the equator. It rises due East and sets due West and does not do so on the exact same day every year; this is because the calendar is not exactly 365 precise days every single year. In 2009, spring arrived on March 20; the sun was above the equator, and crossed to the Northern Hemisphere at approximately 11:47 p.m. ~JaNan

Tues & Wed got up to 60 - 62* & I helped Mike tuck-point block walls on a roof of a cheese factory & I was in heaven!!
The sun was so warm - warmest day this year, AND, I got my first little sunburn. WahooNow we are taking a dive to cold temps again. We could still have a snowstorm this month or April Tulips, Daffodils & peonies are just poking thru soil.

With the gorgeous weather I've started the winter/spring cleanup. Removed the netting over the pond. Pruned all plants in the pond not done before the winter. Cut the ornamental grasses. Cut the hardy hibiscus dead sticks. Cut the basjoo down to the ground, as all was mush. This year I didn't mulch it, so we'll see what the mat does. Pulled the dead passiflora vines off the fences. Cleaned the pond skimmer and took as many leaves out off the pond bottom as I could. Still have the water change and vacuum to do in the pond. The fish look great, although I seem to have lost 3 out of 13 over the winter (one fantail goldfish and 2 koi). Actually not too bad considering the winter we had. Pruned my Hakuro Nishiki willows and Buddleias. And pruned all my roses. Now I'm exhausted and my knee is killing me. Ahh, spring!
