Hey! This is might be more of a complaint but... I was thinking about starting to sell some of my banana pups (next year that is). I put on 2 different banana plants a couple of months ago. I almost was about to make a sell but I stopped it. I contacted Ebay to ask about their policy regarding selling plants. What made me mad was the fact that a buyer has 30 days after buying the plant to either return the plant (dead or alive) or just ask for their money back. Heck they could even lie about and pretend it’s dead without even sending a picture to prove it’s dead. Now that’s not a bad thing for a buyer but not the seller. I can’t believe that even if you (as seller) do everything you can to make sure the plant gets there alive and fast. You could even give them information on how to care for the plant as well. It all means nothing because you’re not there to grow the plant for them. So if they for whatever reason kill off the plant within the 30 days they still get their money. They could even keep the plant as well. So I’d be out of a plant and the money as well. I’m sorry but I don’t like that. Has anyone who isn’t an owner of a greenhouse company ever had any luck selling any kind of plant on Ebay? Thanks in advance!

One more thing I would like to add that I don’t own a greenhouse. I am not a business owner either. I am just a person who likes to grow all sorts of tropicals and other plants as well! I would have liked to be able to make a little money selling some plants. I’ve noticed quite a few people on Ebay who are not owners of greenhouses who sell their plants. So I thought I could try too. They’re probably not even licensed to sell either. I am also not licensed either. I hope I put this thread in the right category. If not, I apologize.

I have sold some tall namwa. They tended to arrive okay but twice they died in shipping, so I had to either refund them or ship them another one. I will be selling my plants on probably Facebook and here in the future....The eBay fees are annoying! I guess it is fair though.
