![]() Today I noticed some of the bananas peel splitting after turning yellow, so I decided to cut them down. They weren't completely yellow, theres still some green but the skin splits exposing the fruit inside, is this normal.
I ate one to test, it tastes good but left a slight burning feeling in my throat, maybe need to ripen a little more. I'm putting a few in a bag with an apple. But what to do with the remaining ones, can i just leave them in a open bag as in the picture. [IMG] ![]() |

![]() Either way congrats, they look delicious. But I'll also agree, that is a lot ripening at once.

![]() Was thinking the same thing. They don't have the protruding bottleneck at the bottom of each fruit like the ones I've seen in Hawaii.

![]() Can you describe the taste or texture? Do they have any tanginess or are they just sweet? Any pictures of the plant they came from?

![]() I think they look like goldfinger, like sunfish suggested. The hands in the middle sack of your first pic really remind me of the fruit in the first pic of the goldfinger wiki article.

![]() Namwah? Any pictures of the petioles? With all that purple/red in the flowers they look different than the goldfinger pictures.

![]() Aside from the lack of the bottle nose on the fruit, the plant sure looks a lot like Dwarf Brazilian, especially the angle the bunch was hanging. Where did the plant come from?
Not Namwah -- wrong appearance of the bunch, angle it is hanging, fingers too spread, no red at the base of the pedicels, peel too thick. |

![]() I was reading some of your old posts and I saw that you got several plants from him. It happens. I have had several keikis in an area and forgot which is which. He says Goldfinger, so you still have a good one. How do they taste? Goldfinger and DB are related so they are probably just as good.
