Careful sending plants

A active member on here asked to buy plants from me. We made further contact by text and we agreed on price plus shipping. I promptly dug,packaged and shipped five large corms weighing 35 pounds. Charged 75$ for plants and shipping was 25$. He has not payed me yet and it’s been a few weeks. I know I should of received payment first. Maybe this post will give him incentive to pay. If not I will be releasing his name and contact next week.

I always wait until payment has been received before I mail out plants or fertilizer. Bananas.org has a feedback feature similar to EBay and such. Make sure to use it.
So far I was only scammed once while trading. Someone promised to send a certain variety and I send him a huge plant shipping cost alone were $75. That was in 2015. Excuses over excuses after that followed why he was not able to mail the promised plant and I even received photos of the fruiting plant I had sent him. Never again. Lesson learned, but I left feedback. Sorry that happened to you.

Sorry this is happening but hopefully member is jusd busy and will do the right thing. Hope this ends well for everyone.

Money talks, everything else walks. If you are going to sell plants, act like a business. Friends, foes, unknown people, whoever, get paid and the ship. Same advice you would get when renting to a friend or relative: treat it like a business. Solves so many problems.

Someone asked how I was able to do 35pounds for 25$. I don’t know, I shoved corms in a box and took them to the post office. 25$ even. I expected it to be much more. this is one reason I shipped before Payment. I was already at post office and went ahead and sent them off thinkin how happy Mike J would be w his super great deal.

That's nice of you, I'm sorry they took advantage of your niceness. I hope you sell more in the future and make up your loss. I would buy from you and pay first. Do you have any bananas for sale?

Wow...hopefully there is an explanation. Two long tenured members...I shipped Mike J numerous plants back in the day when I used to ship plants....keep us posted.
