![]() So one of my Blue Java bunches is a little different this round. Its much smaller and the first two hands have not filled out. The first hand (top) in fact has not grown much at all...
Is this primarily due to my mat not being de-suckered as much as it should? Missing something in fertilizer? Or might this be due to the lack rain / cooler winter in South Florida? Is it worth removing the first hand or just consider this another banana learning lesson.... To be honest I don't pay attention as much to my Blue Java as they take more maintenance then all my other varieties. I'm removing pups now but a little late for this one. No issues before; my banana bunches have all be quite large and healthy previously. Thanks!

![]() Not enough fertilizer, water, rootspace, or anything else. If it flowered in late winter, early spring. Or maybe nothing at ll. Bottom line is "it is what it is" at this point. All you can do is make sure all cultural things are optimized for the next bunch. Cultural consistency usually brings consistent results, but not always.

![]() not all that uncommon for BJ, I noted it on a rack also that came out late winter and may have been opening around the time temps dropped to 40's that week..
