Wow, that looks nice. I thought there would be much more leaf damage after being stuffed into a 30" box. It sucks that the post office has such a steep surcharge on boxes over 30" but getting a 30" box delivered in 48 hours with Priority Mail is sweet.

Thanks & Happy Growing

For about 5 years I've been working on a highly variegated line of Tani for a special client and throughout that time I've never produced or seen an all white Tani until today. I expected it to happened some day but it does seem to be rare (and worthless ) Even though it's worthless it was still removed with precision.

I have no idea what something like that would retail for but it's highly desirable among retail sellers. I'm probably the least knowledgeable person on the forum when it comes to retail prices because my main interest is in the wholesale market.

If there are any retail sellers reading this that would like to purchase variegated bananas wholesale please message us at https://www.instagram.com/manini.mountain/

The reason why the wholesale prices for A'ea'e and Florida are so cheap is because they are very easy to mass produce and the variegation is fairly standard.

On the other hand the wholesale prices for Variegated Cold Hardy Bananas is very different because they are not as easy to mass produce and the variegation varies dramatically. A highly variegated specimen would have more value than a lightly variegated one, so many sellers for the most part don't even want to mess with the lightly variegated ones.

If I remember correctly, I sent you a lightly Variegated Cold Hardy Banana last year for free. How's it doing?

Here's a good example

This is an offshoot from a nicely variegated non dwarf Pisang Awak type that some people call Maliong. At this point it has little to no wholesale value because the amount of variegation is unknown. It's retail value is probably slightly above what a non variegated green Pisang Awak sells for.

If anyone wants to buy it before it starts producing leaves send a pm here with an offer or message at https://www.instagram.com/manini.mountain/

It's mother is the plant with the green and yellow leaf at the bottom of this photo.

Yes I just planted it in the ground a few weeks ago and it's starting to grow pretty good but still pretty small. Out of this last winter that was the only banana plant that I had in a pot make it. I will get a picture posted of it.

What is the least amount to be considered whole sale and price range?

A good thing to keep in mind when it produces a nicely variegated leaf is that the highest percentage of nicely variegated offshoots will be produced directly above or below the leaf scar that was connected to that particular leaf.
