Default Need identity info for Nino and dwarf Nino

Shouldn't Nino have open petioles? Shouldn't nino have some pink at the base of the pstem? The Nino I was sent has closed petioles and is green with no pink on the base. Looks like a bluggoe to me. That is why I want to know how the pstem and petioles should look. Photos would be appreciated. I didn't get to compare to my other ones because they didn't make it. Any other detailed photos would also be appreciated. The info pages don't really show much.

Going bananas link doesn't describe petioles or pstem. I am pretty sure your nino is from the same place as mine. Just like mine yours has no mottling on pstem or open petioles. Why? Isn't that a basic part of the description?

These photos show open petioles and no color (green) at the base of the leaves and pstem on young plants. ... The TARS photos above shows a mature plant with reddish/darkening color on the pstem. The Photos are not clear enough to show the petioles.

The open petioles you are seeing are on immature leaves. The older leaves are closed to mostly closed. The TARS shows the color on the trunk which should be obvious.
