I purchased this banana plant last summer. It started flowering this year. It was labeled as Java Blue 'Icecream'. It is around 6 feet tall. The fruit lacks the bluish green tinge. Will it change color later?

Link to more discussion about my banana plant. Please share your feedbacks. Looks like it is not Blue Java.

Above is the link to the banana plant. The stem is much clearer in this photo. Hope it helps. Picture was taken in September 2019. The plant survived the winter (Tomball,TX) and continued growing. |

That is fine. I have a raja puri as well. It fruits close to winter. So they never make it.
I am just happy that this plant is fruiting. It is always nice to know what variety of banana is growing in my backyard. |
