Hi Blake...nice to see you made it!
![]() Nope, it's not supposed to look like anything but a damn good way to prepare inside round roast! ![]() My moonflowers are dead now Blake but you gave me lots of seeds so it's cool. I didn't let my plant go to seed at all. I saw your banana pics and commented on some of them in your album but yes those look awesome, Blake. You must be thrilled!!! ![]() Hope you'll stick around and chat sometime... Cam, thanks for the link. I have a "Sapphire Skies" Yucca Rostrata from Bob and it's in my garden. It survives our cold zone well and is a perennial. Tha red one looks awesome too. : ) |

They are not my banana plants, but I took pictures for other to see my trip. I was thrilled though to see that someone a couple min away got there bananas to bloom. The blooma were soft to touch, but when you squeez them they are hard, the best thing that I can compare them to is a 5 pound minie football! But it was verry cool to see his bananas, and even better to see blooms... and fruit!! ![]() Check this thread out: Blake visits Gabes banana oasis ![]() _________________________________ .

Thanks Sherry. I have read that yucca seeds can be similar to passiflora seeds. I have read one site that stated that they can take a couple weeks to a year to germinate. I hope its just a couple of weeks LOL. I've seen it all over around here and the flower spikes are tall.

Even if I could, do you really believe that a person like me would want to read all those hundreds of PMs you produce every night, Miss Insomniac?

Sherry I think I'm going to try growing bamboo next year. I've always wanted to grow some, and I was trying to figure out what i could plant for a quick growing evergreen privacy fence. Do you know of any reputable online stores that sell bamboo besides ebay LOL.

I don't know much about Bamboo, Cam...but many others in this thread do! Not sure of where to get it but why don't you just try to trade with another gardener?
I hear it can be invasive. Is this true? : ) |

Thanks Sherry that's a good idea, but i dont have anything good to trade right now for bamboo. I love the black bamboo and its hardy in my zone. There are non invasive varieties but alot of bamboo is really invasive. I've seen it growing wild around here and there is a whole field of it a few miles away, but I'm afraid i might get arrested trying to collect it LOL

Re: Insomnia Thread...
If it's growing in the wild Cam, I don't think you'll be arrested for taking a small piece of it.
If so, I'll give my number and you can call me to post bail... Cam, the Bamboo Swindler!!! ![]() : ) |

Yeah I wouldn't suggest trespassing in any restricted areas, but is it restricted or could you just act like you're taking a walk?
