Good Morning Insomniacs!
![]() Zac, I don't think I will be aging anything in a white oak barrel for three years, but I might give that a try and see what I can come up with. Greg will eat it - he's like Mikey - he will eat anything! HA! HA! ![]() Howard, Lady Margaret is a pretty red passion flower and it is a tough one. It will grow side by side with Incarnata. You probably wouldn't have to bring it in unless you just wanted to. I love giving living gifts to people Sherry, but unfortunately not everyone is good with plants! They can kill a cast iron plant or a ZZ! I always like giving something I would like to get! And homemade or home grown are my favorites. Here's one I made for gift giving. It is a mini fairy garden: This particular one I liked so much I kept it, so it was a prototype! HA! HA! ![]() ~JaNan

I'll have to check it out sometime, because horror flicks are my absolute favorite.
![]() So what are your plans today, Jack? Did you like my pm, last night? ![]() Going for a quick spin to the grocery store right now but I'll stay logged on. Won't be long, (even if there's Firemen there! )Janan, that's so terrific. Thanks for the shot. How creative of you! ![]() We'll chat more when I get back from my spin.. : ) |

![]() OK, enough of jibba-jabba. Let's focus on the coming winter dormancy period. Btw. if your girlfriend is just a friend, who happens to be a girl at the same time, is your boyfriend just a friend, who happens to be a boy? ![]() These terms are quite clouded now...

What a beautiful day it is here today! Sunny & kinda warm.
I picked up some organic carrots, whole wheat bread, and some portabello mushrooms. Having a t-bone steak tonight for dinner, and Bob gave me this cool personal recipe of his own to make carmelized onions, so I'm going to try it with my steak. ![]() Janan, that is just too cute & adorable. I just love that little "Fairy Garden"!!!How did you get into doing something like that? I bet people go nuts when you give them as gifts? So creative and different. Tell me more about it please, and how you do it? Do you get stuff from the craft store? Jack... how ridiculous! ![]() My boyfriend is more than just a friend, but my girlfriend and I's relationship is strictly just platonic. Is it clear now, Slovak boy? Oh no, my bf wouldn't waste time with silly little pm's Jack...you'd just hear a knock at your door! ![]() Then you'd hear the shot! ![]() Anything else clouded for ya, Mr. Daw? ![]() Good morning, Cam! ![]() : ) |

Thanks Sherry and Cameron! Posting it here gave me the idea for a gifting thread which I just started. I need some fresh ideas from you and everyone else for some Christmas gifts. I am working on some new stuff now.
All of the stuff in the actual garden are plants I already have. I used a lot of small petaled succulents. They are hard to kill and are so cute in a mini garden. I mist them every other day and give them water MAYBE once a month. The little house was just a Dollar Store tree ornament that I embellished. It was a lot of fun to make (and actually quite easy really!) and I was very pleased with how it turned out. I will take some pictures of some other projects I've made or am making as I go along. ~J

Oh what a great idea, Janan!
![]() I will look for your thread and love your idea. That little fairy garden is so cute and I like how you've incorporated real live plants into the scene. Very cool. ![]() I think gifts like that are more meaningful than store bought ones anyway and fun to make. I have some ideas too that my mom and I did a couple times for Christmas gifts and people loved it. ![]() Looking for your thread... My mom told me today that they're calling for extremely warm weather next week. Indian Summer!!! Yipppeeeeee! : ) |

One of my friends is going to give me some red yucca seeds he collected. I love those plants, especially since they are drought tolerant. He collected 50 seed pods and I think he is collecting more

Mr. Daw...
I should have known you would get back with another drawn-out answer, and that you would further grace us with more of your deep thoughts and views... It was a joke anyway Jack...my bf would never shoot anyone. He'd just do some rearranging of your facial features that might actually be becoming, depending on the angle! ![]() I suppose you're not just a Salsa dancer, but trained in Karate too? ![]() On and on about guns and murderers, when I just wanted to chat about sunny skies and doing crafts! ![]() Are we the only two around? : ) |

Of course my silly threats about my bf are ridiculous and I'm only just joshing around.
![]() So you can quit being afraid now, Jack!!! ![]() So Mr. Daw, what special powers do you have as a moderator? Does this mean you can spy on people and screw with their accounts?! ![]() I am astounded that someone actually made YOU a moderator!!! How is this possible? ![]() Seriously though, I gotta make a quick call to my grandparents. Be right back... : ) |

Ok Jack, good to know you're not reading my pm's!
![]() Or else then you'd get to read all the stuff I've been saying about you! ![]() Cool that you help others. I like to help people too and share what I know. Had to call my Gp's briefly, to ask them about something but I'm mostly free now. ![]() Try not to drool... I make my own beef jerky in my dehydrator and I have to cut the beef really thin before marinating it for 24 hours. I make it with inside round roast... Here's another thing I love to make with inside round, and what I had for dinner a few night's ago. I took the shot just before I put it in the oven... ![]() It's a beef pinwheel made with ham, red and green sweet peppers, spinach, and swiss cheese. Delicious doesn't even begin to describe it! Yummy. I also made a big batch of mushrooms, to go on the side. So what are you guys having for dinner? What kind of food do you eat in your country, Jack? : ) |
