Re: Insomnia Thread...
I'm totally excited about it too, Cam. It's the first time too that I've even grown a succulent from seed!
![]() I just took a shot of the seeds and if it turned out ok when I load it, I'll post the pic it in the what'cha got sprouting thread in a few minutes... : ) |

I sowed both types and both types of sunflower. I just finished starting the peppers. I sowed all the peppers you gave me wit the exception of 4 seeds. I also planted all the tomatoes.
It sure takes a long time to sow 72 seeds. While I was planting them, I was thinking of all the work it must have taken you to to put together all the seed packets. Thank you very much for doing it. It is much appreciated. |

You're the 1st one to have mentioned that or noticed Tom...how much work it takes me to package up seeds for people. I don't mind though, but thank you for acknowledging it.
![]() You are very welcome and I hope you enjoy everything, immensely. Don't forget to save seeds from your growings, so you'll have some for next year. That's how I do it, so I rarely ever have to buy the same seeds twice. You're gonna have lots of beautiful things in your garden this year, Tom. So excited for you! ![]() : ) |

So sorry that I haven't voiced it publicly Sherry, but I and all the others that you have shared with, do appreciate all the time you spend putting in your personalized envelopes and your hints for every one of your seeds! You love it and it shows!
![]() Cameron here's another shot for you. My Red Lion now has two blooms fully open and two more to go. I also posted another view in the "Blooming in your garden" thread. ![]() ~JaNan

I really do appreciate how much work you put into packing and sending the seeds Sherry. I like how you put instructions and how many days it will take to germinate, its really helpful, especially for someone like me who doesnt grow many things from seed lol. Janan its amazing that your amaryllis is still blooming. Its beautiful. I cant wait until my Apple Blossom blooms

Hi Cameron! Yeah the first bloom is lasting well. I would like all of them to be open at the same time. My Apple Blossom hasn't bloomed yet either. It is my favorite!
Cam do you have any bananas? A couple of the Lowe's I go to regularly have some Super Dwarf Cavendish on sale for $6.98. They aren't marked as bananas, but "patio" planters or something like that. Just wanted to let you know in case your sister can pick one up for you. A couple I looked at even had pups on them. ![]() ~J

I already miss my Vitattum amaryllis blooms. The blooms lasted a good week and a half before they wilted. Wow $6.98! I have a couple of bananas right now. Sumatrana X Gran Nain and Basjoo. I got a Orinoco corm from Dean but it hasnt sprouted yet. The Lowes my sister works at didnt have any bananas but I did see some at another Lowes down the street. My mom told me I cant buy anymore plants so I will have to look next year lol

OK!
I just remembered you saying your sister worked there! Their regular bananas are just short of $30 bucks so I just wanted to let you know. I spend enough money there I should own stock in the company. ![]()

wow $30!? I think my basjoo was that price and then it went on clearance and it was only $7 lol. I got my Orinoco from Home Depot for $22 but it died LOL. My sister gets mad if I go to Home Depot, so I told her that I would shop at Lowes

I know what you mean JaNan...there are places I spend a fortune in also.
![]() Oh thanks you guys, for your kind words...you're all very welcome. I like to copy the information from my original seed packets onto my little paper envelopes so you guys will know what to do and what to expect. Who wants to grow something they know nothing about! I like to know the height and width of the plant I'm growing so I know where to put it and I figured you guys would appreciate it as well. ![]() Glad you're happy. Keep in mind that when I only send three seeds of a certain variety, it's not because I'm cheap, it's because that's all I had. All you need is one plant though and then you can save more seeds from the growings. Dean pm'ed me and I guess he didn't get my seeds yet either so don't feel badly Cam. I'm sure you guys will get them soon. Oh and yes Cam, I think the 'litte blue' fruits look like christmas bulbs too. I saw your post. ![]() : ) |

Sherry you know I'm patient, I have so much growing right now lol. This is the most things I've grown from seed. From past experiences I stayed away from seeds but some I cant believe how much success I'm having. I'll send you some of the sedum cuttings when I can and when it warms up there, even though I think they would be fine. I just love your pepper plants. I cant wait until mine produce fruit. Each one still has two leaves so I dont know when they will develop more. I checked my Fishtail palm seeds and found out they are producing roots. I was pushing the soil back because I was making sure they werent rotting and 3 seeds had roots. I just covered them back up and said sorry for disturbing you LOL.
My mom is still mad at me because when I was rushing to bring my cuttings inside from the rain, I brought a caterpillar indoors. I was taking a nap and I heard a scream and my mom woke me up yelling at me about a caterpillar on one of my plants lol. I still havent heard the end of it |

Hey guys, you can watch the seeds Sherry sent me. I put the webcam to watch over them. The image updates every 10 minutes or so. Just thought you would be interested.
http://www.mysimplehomegarden.com/ga...den/garden.jpg Cam, Sorry you can't keep picking stuff up, it must be murder when you see something you really want and you have to hold back. |

Oh yeah, I know how moms can be about stuff like that, Cam. My mom blames me if she sees a gnat in her place and says they came from my plants. She's moved now though so she can't blame me anymore.
Thanks, about my pepper plants. I'm glad you're enjoying them. They grow pretty quickly so don't worry, but if they're not growing much above soil, the roots below the soil are developing first. I even noticed buds tonight on that "Jigsaw" plant in my aero-garden!!! Wow that was fast. I liked how you said these look like Christmas bulbs, Cam... ![]() I knew they reminded me of something and you hit the nail on the head. It's like a decorated xmas tree! ![]() Here's my marble fruit tonight, turning yellow... ![]() : ) |

The toolbox :P It is really a jiffy starting tray with 72 pods. Those are the circles.
The battery thing is actually the ballast for my 1000W MH lamp. |

Oh Sherry do try to get a picture of the buds on the little JigSaw when you can! The Little Blue does look like it is decorated, it so pretty! Yes, those Marbles are so pretty changing colors. I wish you had more to look at though! It will pull through eventually - I have confidence in it!
![]() I know you asked me about the larger one in the Hot Pepper thread Sherry. I just don't know. It just seems to big to me (the plant not the fruit). I still think it must be a cross. ![]()

That is so weird, that Dean hasn't gotten his yet either! We don't live that far away from each other. I have a little podunk post office here and I am on a rural route. My town is only about 1200, but our city limit sign is right next to the Austin City limit sign.
