I pull up the radar from the weather channel but I didn't today.

I watch Fox too only channel 7 here. But we don't hear much about the Dallas area or East Texas. We have enough stuff here they focus on unless something horrible happens, then we hear it!

I kept my eyes on the radars today lol. I usually look at TXCN to see the news from all over the state. Austin seems to have some interesting news.

That's a beautiful boat Trina! How big is it (it looks huge)? My Grandpa always built things also. I miss him and my Grandmother a lot. Are yours still living?

Yes, we have some wild news that's for sure. Big news tonight is another apartment complex burnt to the ground. We've had a lot of fires going on this week. How close was that one up north to you and your family? It was Possom Kingdom or something like that - said over a thousand acres had burned but I think the storms finally put it out or helped them.

Yup, I'm always running here or there all over my apartment. I might be heading over to the A-G site to update my aero-garden thread there and show them the shots you guys have seen.


I wanna get a shot for the image thread before I sign off though. Maybe another one of those cool "little blue" fruits will make a good image...


That boat is just too nice, Trina! I love it and you're so lucky to have something so cool from your grandfather. What a beauty that is. I would love to clean it, just so I could look it all
over.

Thanks folks.. The boat is about 2' long and 18" high and no, he is no longer living.. he didn't get a chance to finish the boat before he passed. My grandmother on that side is still with us though. He was a master shipwright, as was his father and all of his brothers. During WWII, they were building 12 boats a month!

I love the boat but am tired of cleaning it. Time to get a plexiglass case made for it. There are so many small parts and nooks.. really hard to get in there and uses lots of Q-Tips!

That is so cool Trina! Janan is that your night blooming cereus?! Its gorgeous. I have a couple of cuttings that I got from Dean that are producing new stems, but some of the new stems were knocked off during one of the storms. I also have several other little cuttings. I'll take pics of them now

Good evening all. We had great weather here today.

I've been thinking of how I am going to grow all the treasures that should be coming my way soon. I don't know what will be hydroponic and which will be outdoor or container plants.

Its a beautiful color and another one is sprouting. I cant wait until it gets bigger and I can plant it in the ground. Most people consider them weeds but I think they have a unique beauty even if they are poisonous.

I love castor bean plants! I think they look very tropical. I don't have much luck with them though. Is that one of the purple varieties or is that a red or pink? It's very pretty!

Uh oh you scare me when you say that you dont have much luck with them. I believe its the red leaf variety. What problem do you have with them?

Don't be scared! Your experiences will be different. Everybody else has really great ones. Sherry will see this and just shake her head!

I can usually get the seeds to pop but never get them to "plant" stage. If I have an adult plant, it withers and dies. Probably location - I've tried in morning sun, shade, full sun. Anyway no luck.

Oh no. I have a few places I want to plant it. one area gets afternoon sun, another area is partial sun.. I want to try one in mostly shade too. I wonder why your plants dont make it. I hope I dont have any problems

Your a little cooler and get more rain than I do though. Yours will be fine!
