How about hot & sticky 89F Friday (it was hot!). A wonderful Saturday in the mid 90's a great day to head south to watch the oil wash up.. If you take a dip you will come out all oiled up. So much for going crabbin'... Man that sucks...!

Well here I am, our third shift person did not show up tonight so guess who had to come in right now there is 100% humidity outside after a cool and rainy Friday, we are headed for temps in the upper 80's all week, good banana weather!

Still without clean, sunny weather. We get to 23-24C every now and than and than we get rains and winds after!


Everything is more than 2-3 weeks back in growth rate.

I hope these arctic blasts eventually stop!!! arrgh nothing is growing it is so cold. Another record low tonight.

Pretty much the same here--mid to upper 80s and muggy, but without the oil so far! It is such a shame that oil is coming ashore in the worst place as far as cleanup--and destroying some of the most productive wetlands in the country.

It's not shame, it's catastrophy. I hope the wetlands in Louisiana and other areas will survive and some animals won't be on the brink of extinction.

Yes, 40 is a new record low! This global warming is great.

Actually, I didn't think it would get that cold.... I already planted Alpinia purpurata and Heliconias. Hopefully they will survive

Hit close to 90 today, and was a bit humid. Weird to be humid here. I'm glad we are not setting any records(110s), this is hot enough!

Ideal banana growing weather in St Louis the past couple weeks. 80 to 90 and humid during the day, 60s at night. Got some good rain last night too. Bananas are growing like crazy and new pups are coming up.
