Burnin up in the upper 40s right now eh? haha
Check this out, today is going to be the 6th day in April of 50s. And the 9th day below 65. Sucks because my bananas are usually big by now. I went back and compared with last year the days 68F and over.. Seems like banana growth really gets quicker above 20C. 2009 Jan 9 days Feb 4 days Mar 14 days Apr 21 days 2010 Jan 0 days Feb 2 days Mar 14 days Apr 8 days (through Apr 21st) So as you can see, this year is horrible. Have no control over the weather though

76 and sunny in st Louis today. Perfect spring weather. Low in 50s last night. My bananas are starting to grow more and I have been fertilizing weekly with water solubale banana fertilizer. My bananas are about 2 to 3 weeks ahead of this time last year. I uncovered the ones in the ground on March 15th. A couple weeks earlier than normal for St Louis.

I think the weather has been great. Yesterday we were in a Tornado watch what seemed like all day. Well sometime very early in the morning it started hailing like crazy. I don't think it lasted 20 minutes but the size of the hail was crazy. Bigger than golfballs but smaller than softballs. The ice knocked off a couple squash but no nanners damaged :^)

Been raining here the last few days. I hope it dries up a bit. I got stuff to do even though we need the rain.

Well the I-can't-really-pronounce-it's-name-volcano gave us lots and lots of small glass shrapnels flying around, so the vapor coming up loses energy on those pieces, condensates and voila, we have the rain all week long. I haven't seen the sun for almost 5 days straight. Needless to say that thousands of people are losing their battle with water and flooding is present in 78% of Central Europe. Thanks, Iceland!
Btw. Lowest temps in 60 years. Now - THANKS, ICELAND!!!

We're at around 67 degrees here and a tad cloudy. This has been one of the coldest springs I've ever seen.

This year is so weird. We should be in the 90s/100s by now. Must be a VERY strong El Nino this year to suppress the temps this much. At least I'm saving on my energy bill!
