It will be warming up. Daytemps +4 and nighttemps +5°C. Is that good enough? :D Btw. some Scandinavian cold front is supposed to come later on, but I hope our Carpathian mountains will block that off. :ha::0517:

Re: Weather forecast

The last three days I had the impression, that I live somewhere far more north. The hills and mountains are covered with snow from about 300 m above sealevel. We had three nights with almost freezing (0 - 1 °C), but now it's very slowly warming up.
Normally spring should be here and the first trees started to flower, but were hit by that strong cold that affected most parts of Europe.
If you want to go skiing, Northern Greece is to be considered! :-)

:woohoonaner:

Well I saw the pole you MMSed me today, looking very bad, considering that you would be hanging there in such a strong wind.
How did it go? Were there any other poles in the area that needed maintenance?

It was quite pleasant, quite warm (5°C), windless, sunny day today.

My weather sticker lies again. Add to that temperature +2°C this time. Argh. Damn meteo station.

Migael, where exactly is Haughton in LA? How come LA is so hot and dry, yet you get these kinds of temps so late in the winter/spring season?

Well normally we get the Gulf stream from the south (normally we have a mild winter (we don't build snowmen unlike this year) then it goes straight to hot), but with this El~Nino BS we actually have a spring (which is nice, hold the frost/freezes); We definately had a Winter! Now we will have a frosty weekend since the low's are now 34F. I'm glad I didn't put anything in the ground that won't recover. They say down here don't count the cold out until the pecans bud out.. Then we're safe (that hasn't happened yet)... What goes up (thermostat), must come down (once in a while) :^)

LOL, I'm afraid there won't be any for the "Fight agains cancer Day", cause they all started blooming about 2 weeks ago. So lots of them, yeah, but many of them also dissapeared. Tullips are right behind them. ;)
Quite gloomy and cold day today, somerain and lots of winds. But we will be back on the track soon!

Your son related to mine ? LOL Yesterday we had 40-50 mph winds & rain w/ lite hail. My son rode his bike in that. When it's that cold & windy, rain feels like bullets. We may get snow today :(

It's the same a bit more south in Northern Greece. The forecast for the next two days predict highs around/above 25°C and 12 -15°C at night. Some rain (showers) are possible.

Weather here has been really good! Temps has been around 85F to 90F thats about 29C-30C (very rough estimate). The humidity has been very high, around the 60% to 80% range and its just very muggy. It really poured this morning and was 70F and muggy. Now the humidity has gone down a little bit thanks to another afternoon rainstorm, but it will be in the 80Fs again tommorrow and the next day with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.
Very summer like here and the plants are loving it!!!

It must be perfect to have sea and mountains so close to home, I have about 600 km to the sea and about 200 km to Carpatian Mountains.

Well, Sew, nice to see u back!!! Wondeful forest pics, I put one of them as my Windows theme. ;)
Also I'm a little bit surprised that several trees STILL don't have all the leaves in those pictures. :ha:

Ante, the last pic is perfect for my movie. Darken it a little bit, add some snow on the mountain and father shielding his children with his own body. Than add a nice title: Frost - Makarska's Ultimate Foe and voila, we've gor a great movie...

I would say that those are the perfect distances to both. Carpathian mountains on the Polish side are very narrow and slope and your sea, let's face the fact, is a lil bit too cold for regular (enjoyable summer) swimming and enjoying. :ha:

Cheers, pal.

The fact is the weather is very changeable and hot and sunny days aren't guaranteed like in Mediterranean.

Not sure if I ever wanna taste the cold water seas. :)
Just teasing you, sure I will. But later in the future.

I had a long talk with one of my Polish friends few years back and he told me one funny and interesting thing: "If we, Poles, wanted it to happen, we would have both, Baltic and Mediterranean sea."
