Is a Clump a bunch of ripe eating bananas after a few years in your zone?
What is a definition of a Clump? From seed? Awesome.... Last edited by cincinnana : 12-22-2020 at 06:10 PM. |

the truly tiny plant tops out at about 5 feet. The banana bunch hangs at elbow level.

yes i meant, bunch. The last one i had had about 90 small bananas on it. I don't grow them outside as I live in zone 5. Gets pretty cold around here. I have a greenhouse with a 20x30 growing area. One of these days I'll figure out how to get pics posted.

oh and no, not from seed. These don't make visible seeds. I got two small (like 4") sprouts from baker creek seeds. I noticed logees sells them too.

@wisconsinbananas
Can you see any difference between SDC and your truly tiny? Becouse so far nearly all the truly tiny pictuers I have seen do just look like SDC to me.

SDC? is that Super Dwarf Cavendish? I have also a Dwarf Cavendish but that's taller. It's at about 8 feet right now and has not fruited yet. The truly tiny is a lot smaller. the flower is literally at elbow level.

You can upload pictures in your photo gallery, but you
may have to reduce the size.

So I have a Super Dwarf Cavendish (I assume) that is just about ready to harvest.
Its pretty small... 3 feet maybe and fruit is at knee level. My first bunch never made it past 3 months before it gave up. This one seems to be doing just fine!
