I just looked back at Gabe's comments and Namwah types have a pretty pointed tip on the bud. If this "Belle" is from the same source as the one I tried fruit from, it is definitely a Namwah type (Pisang Awak). Keep posting pictures of it.

I've got 5 bunches now but it's too dark to take photos

Wish I could post photos directly from my smartphone.

Think I'll cut one bunch next week if I have time like I hope. Been crazy busy lately.

I used to grow Belle. Found the taste was not to my liking. And it grows too tall. The SH 3640 went in that location. Good decision. Zagigehisown.

My basjoo has another bud opening on a 2nd plant of the mat. From none ever with basjoo to 2 in a few weeks, wow!
