This mat is 6-8' wide by 40' long it has 7 plants with fruit at 8-12' p-stem the fruit are large and resemble grocery store plantains.

It's an ABB variety, probably something in the Bluggoe subgroup, like Orinoco, but doesn't look exactly like that variety.

I went back to the roadside mat next to flamingo road 2 weeks ago and took 5 new photos.

It's Mysore. The color on the underside of the unrolling leaf and the tightly-packed, cylindrical bunch with small fingers are the giveaways.

I'd still stick with that tentative ID, though I'd expect to see more retained grayish bracts on the rachis based on what I've seen before for balbisiana.

They all look like Namwah to me except for the burros.

Last one is a namwah, as are probably a few of the other pictures.

Very nice photos I_GROWER

In my opinion the first 4 images could be Blue Java but if the color of the fruit is the same as the last image then it's probably Namwah.

The Burros bunch appear to be the same as this picture I took a couple weeks ago image on the right.





The Monzano could be an off-type (somaclonal variation) of Namwah or something completely different.

The last image looks like Namwah the photo to right is a Namwah bunch.
