Ok, so I saw this clip months ago and always wondered what the huge banana seeds she had growing were exactly, it's on youtube as well as there website.
The question has been asked over and over with no responds as to exactly what the seeds are, so I go to the website "Veseys.com" hoping to get a name, you have to enter threw Canada to find the seeds, they won't ship these seeds to the USA. Phooie I would like to get 10 or so! Anyway I look and to my amazement apparently they don't have a clue either what they are. They have them named "Musa Ensete" better known as Ethiopian banana...so I know better than to wiki Musa Ensete but I did look up Ethiopian banana and guess what I couldn't find that either, maybe you have a clue what Ensete she is growing here. Thanks for any help solving the mystery

Massive seeds! Not seen them that big before. Musa ensete is another name for ensete ventricosum as is Abyssinian banana. A strain of this species I should imagine.

Come on you guys, that just normal Ensete ventricosum, you can buy these seeds anywhere! Ok sure, these are quite big, even for normal Ensete ventricosum seeds, but that's all. If you want 'em try RPS or the tons of other seed-dealers around.
Kind regards, Remko. |
