Question nj pups with bunchy top problem

Hay all
Somthing odd is happening I have a 2 year old dwarf candanavish ans a jam. Red that gave me pups this past summer ... Pups grew nice and I separated and pot them before bringing them in for the winter . Al was well for about a mounth or two then all the leaves started growing on top of each other with both plants then the mother plants started doing the same . I did have a big gnat problem witch was taken care of they looked like small fruit flys.
Witch I think I got them from the pot soal I brought .
My fear is I have about 12 other verietys all baby's that have been in my grow room with them doring the bug problem.
I moved the mother plants to a different area and toped the dwarf mother to see if it comes back normal .
The red I cut the bunched part off and turned the leaves some so they have there own spaces again .to see if it would train it selve back to a normal growth.
Weird I know .
The leaves look normal in color and are big and healthy . The ones in the center. Are light green and fragile. But not deformed they grow to full length and color right on top of the previous leaves 1 on each side .
They have good light widow and lighting they have good heat 80 day 69 night and moisture of between 60 and 80 .they are in 30 gallon pots and banana fuel and fish amoltion fertilizers is used.
Anyone have any thought ... Sorry no pictures of this can fugure out how th do that.....
Thanks in advance for any help

I doubt that's BBTV. Can you post pics so we can verify it?

I used to have this problem all the time when growing bananas in containers, especially Cavendish types. To the best of my knowledge, it is caused by salt buildup in the soil from too much fertilizer. This can be partially remedied by "washing out" the soil, just watering it frequently until water drains out the bottom.

However, the best solution I found was to pot bananas in a 50% compost based potting mix. This way basically all of the nutrition it will need for quite awhile is already in the soil and will be slowly available over time, without the need for adding synthetic fertilizers which can easily cause the described problem is not carefully managed.

I mix mirical grow with 1 bag of cactus mix and 20% purlite.I don't fertilize in winter I started because I thought they might be deficient thank I will keep u updated.
And still can't fugure out how to put pictures on my post sorry ..
I wouldnt think bbtv would be a problem eather there is not a big banana population in nj..and I think it would have showed it self quicker then a two year old plant and its, pups
And I do drain the soal about once a mounth .
The 2 mother plants are about 5 to 6 ft tall the, stalks are smooth and shines like its been waxed. And they are both thick about 4 to 5 inches around its almost as if the stalk is to thick for the new leaves to drop after they open ..or as if it was growing to fast for itself .when one leave opens there is already,a shoot half way up and starting to open then the same so one and so one
