New tree not growing.. help!

Hey there!
I am new to this and I was looking for some help/advice. I purchased a
Musa Ice Cream Banana / Blue Java Banana Plant last fall. I kept it indoors in a pot during the winter, and when spring began, it was growing a new leaf every 2 weeks or so. It's maybe 1.5-2 feet tall now.

I started the put it outside to acclimate it slowly, and the wind snapped two leaves. One of which was the newest leaf that just un-rolled.. Since then, my plant hasn't grown a new leaf, and that was over a month ago. I'm starting to worry about it, is there anything I can do to help it grow again, or save it?

Your plant was probably just stressed, is it growing again?
When the trunk gets trashed, there’s a good chance you can salvage the corm.

Where are you located and can you post a picture of the plant? ... Basically, set it in a semi shaded location and leave it alone. Give it a little water when the pot is DRY. It may take a while to recover.

I don't want to interrupt but I have a little start of a Musa Basjoo that seems to be a little slow going. I'm curious if I should give it some fertilizer and maybe prune some of its leaves might help? I have found pruning leaves has helped with growth in my other plants. Maybe it could help yours. Otherwise, water, sunlight and warmth is the key

‘Nanners are notoriously hungry feeders, fond of that extra blast of potassium but if recently repotted, will frequently produce their growth primarily as roots, & when the pot gets filled, the topside takes off.
You can prune the dead brown & yellow leaves, leave the green. They help feed, even if well tattered.

I've found when you move plants to a bigger container or, in this case from container to the ground the roots will grow out faster than the top growth. I know from experience patience is tough but I'd bet within a month or so it gets growing a lot faster.

Awesome! Thanks so much for the awesome feedback. A new leaf finally did grow! I actually ended up cutting a small slit where the little cigar was meant to grow out of, and a new leaf started peaking out the very next day. I'm in zone 6. My tree stayed inside last winter. I'll have to add images when I can get to a computer
