Just look at the size of this leaf that just opened up for me recently on your plant!!! The leaves are growing bigger indoors this Fall than they did all summer outside...  It's nearly three feet long!!! : o |

It's so huge that it was tough to fit it all in the picture because the p-stem is over three feet tall and it has two big pups at it's base. Here it is today with my Viente Cohol in behind it...
 Here are the 2 pups...  Everyone keeps telling me it's an Orinoco banana plant. Whatever it is, I love it...and it loves me!!! Gonna fertilize and mist it right now... : ) |

Very cool! My first big leaf came randomly while inside just like yours, I guess it's all coincidence, but once I put it outside in the summer they just got bigger and bigger. I'm glad you're enjoying it, the plants from this nursery tend to turn out great even if they're mislabeled.  |

Zac, it's a tree!!!
I do love it though and would have to say it's one of my favorites actually. It just grows so beautifully here and likes London's weather a lot. It grew the best of all my outdoor banana plants, hands down, and it got the tallest too.  I am seriously hoping for a flower on it next year!!!  In the recent pics I showed of it, it was on a tall stool because I was trying to keep the pups in good sunlight. I have since discovered a very sunny spot on the floor of my living room and I'm gonna set it down lower tomorrow. Henry will no doubt be landing on the leaves because they are so large! I'll be sure to get a shot if he does. I'd sure love to share a pup with ya in Spring Zac...if you want one that is? The two I have are growing beautifully but I'll only need the one, so let me know if you want a pup? Might give Penny the 2nd one if she wants it... Anyway, thanks again Zac! Who knew when you sent it that it would turn out so terrific! You're so nice to have bought it for me when my plants were stolen last year. I was really moved by your kindness and just think you're a very nice person to have done that for me. I love your plant so much.  : ) |

More like 'Very Huge'!!!
It's one giant tree but I love it, Zac. Can't wait to get it back in the ground in Spring and I'm hoping for a flower on it. It's already 1 & 1/2 years old! It's become too large to shower in my bathtub so I mist the leaves with water and wipe them down with paper towel on the bottom & top. This will keep the mites away until I get it outdoors again where I won't have to worry about that. I must say it's one of my most favorite banana plants because of how wonderfully it grows here. You sure picked a winner, Zac! : ) |
