Hello, I am a grower from Deltona in central Florida, 9/b.
I growing bananas a couple years ago, when I started my fruit collecting through local nurseries. My first acquisitions were Dwarf Namwah and what I thought to be Ice Cream, however turned out to be a tall and tasty Namwah. In wanting to be more certain of genetics, I tried going through nurseries that specialized in bananas. I got a few selections from a Florida-based "floridahillnursery" - can anyone speak for or against their genetics? and a few more from Going Bananas, based out of Homestead.. always a fun trip down that direction. Will have to visit Going Bananas again. In trying to learn about bananas, this forum frequently pops up. I thought it would be a good idea to join and engage in any conversations that might come around. Miles |

Welcome fellow Floridian! I started off buying from florida hill nursery, so far so good, but the guy who runs that was trying to stealthily market himself on here a while back and got himself into some trouble but I can't remember all the details. Wellspring gardens is a better run operation. There's also green dreams in spring hill, they sell a variety of fruit trees. https://www.greendreamsfl.com/online-store
Another who I believe is here on the forum as well: https://www.tytyga.com/Banana-Trees-s/1833.htm And last but not least is from another forum member: https://www.bananatreesforsale.com/
