Hi Folks,
Just getting into banana growin' here in South/Central Jeresey! Received two Doubles, two Truly Tinys, and two Ice Cream banana corms last month. Planted them all the day of arrival in Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm & Citrus Potting Mix. Used terracotta glazed pots with 3+ inches of clearance from plant to rim (internet tips). I also pot some rocks in the bottom and ensured pots had unobstructed holes to drain excess water. Kept them indoors in the atrium and for the first few days out of direct sunlight. Watered daily. Now out in direct sunlight. Both TTs and one Double have many green leaves. One Double and one Ice Cream seemed to be progressing. Other Ice cream hasn't done much. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! |

Welcome to the Bunch. ... Just sit tight for a few days. If the nana appear to show any wilt or leaf droop, mist the plants with water. The roots have to acclimate to the new potting soil. Watering every 3 or 4 days should be ok until the plants show signs of growth. Potted nana plants do not use or need a lot of water when inside.
