Joy New Grower

Hi there, I just joined this group after purchasing(but haven't taken delivery yet) a musa veinte cohol. I will be planting it upon arrival in a large ceramic pot to be kept outside in a sunny spot during the temperate part of our season. I am in zone 7 and realize this plant is not hardy for my area. However, I am a little nervous as to what to do during late fall. Do I have to put the plant in my home indoors or can I keep it alive in my unheated garage? Thank you very much. Any information you can give me would be appreciated.
