Joy New to the Group

I have an Ice cream Banana Tree which hasn't produced. I'm a bit stumped as to why it hasn't. I recently fertilized it with Potash and have noticed significant growth. There are two pups that are getting quite tall. Should I leave them grow? Remove them? I'm stumped!

When I googled your question the answer is 15-24 months. What is the age of your plant?

Yes, I Googled and read the same. My tree is about three years old. I'm wondering if it needed some fertilizer because since I fed it, it seems to be growing quickly now. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will flower soon. The pups are getting quite tall and I'm not sure that is good. I'm not sure what to do at this, point. Thank you for your response!

Hi there, Bananagal-

Welcome aboard the Banana Express

I've noticed that on my Musa basjoo, if I let them clump they don't produce, but single plants do. Maybe you should try separating them and see what happens?
