Hello,
I live in so cal and planted a small banana plant about 10 years ago. Now I get 3-5 bunches a year and is great. They are small-med sized and sweet. Dunno What type but have been told Cavendish. Will post pics when I figure out how. Cheers |

For sure not praying hands.
The color of the bud before it opens looks like a cavendish. The black splotches on the pstem looks like a cavendish. The open pedicles look like a cavendish. The female flowers are yellow like a cavendish. The size of the bunch and finger shape looks like a cavendish. It could be many other things but good chance it's a cavendish of some type.

What it seems I actually have: Brazilian, Cavendish, Namwah, Dwarf Red, Gros Michel, Pisang Ceylon, Veinte Cohol and SH 3640, and American Goldfinger. FHIA 1, Paggi and FHIA 17... Always room for one more. |
