Hey folks! I'm new to this site. I am a tropical plant enthusiast and I enjoy collecting plants, but my space and climate zone limit me to terrarium plants. I like aroids, ferns, orchids etc - if it's small and tropical, I would probably like it.
(<< I don't know what this banana means, but the emoticons here are pretty cool) I don't have any banana plants of my own, but I'm enjoying browsing around here and checking out yours! Great site, by the way. ![]() Regards, Mike |

Hiya Greenview, welcome to the board!
There are people here who keep lots of other plants besides 'naners so have fun and cruise around. |

Welcome aboard! If you're a terrerrium-only grower, check out High Colour Minis - they're the itsy-bitsy space-saver bananas.
Best of luck! And as we say here - bet you can't grow just one... |

Hey guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome! I guess I've never really pursued Musa to find out if there were any really miniature clones. Perhaps the next time I set up a tank, I'll have to include a banana plant, but it would have to be around 4-8"; most of my tanks aren't very big. Oh, and I know all about not being able to grow just one! My tanks have become pretty dense due to my 'addiction'. Here's one of the best looking tanks I have currently, since the plant placement has some purpose. ![]() ![]() Here's a smaller pic, so you can see it all at once: ![]() Cheers, Mike |
