Hello, I’m new to this forum but not a new owner of a banana plant. My banana plant was gifted to me years ago. I’ve had no idea how to take care of it but it’s still alive and growing. I’m excited I’ve found this site so I can learn more. I have no idea what kind of plant I have but I will learn with your help.
I appreciate you all sharing your knowledge and advice.I’m not afraid to try things and love learning new things. I have a potted banana tree and I need to move it to a bigger pot soon. I’m scared to put it in my yard for the summer because the ground is mostly clay And so hard to grow anything without digging a large area out and replacing it with actual good soil. I’m here to learn and make my tree a happy tree. |

Welcome! There is definitely a wealth of information here. There are some good threads about soil mixtures I've found to help me in getting mine going if you do some searching of the forum. You're definitely in the right place to find some answers!
