Some sellers, from that part of the world, are calling actual seeds, "corms". Tissue culture 'Florida's" are widely available but the cheapest I have seen on the "Florida" is still in the $60.00 - $150.00 range. Most of tissue culture plants for sale are really small and you need very good conditions and use of some good skills to grow them up. I ordered some banana seed for $10.00 from over there in April but have gotten nothing. Knowing of the dangers of disease, I had planned to wash the corms or seed (whatever I got) in a bleach solution upon arrival then a very good fresh water wash followed by a fungicide application. Also the packaging would have been full strength bleached inside a sealed plastic bag or all of it thoroughly burned. This is a standard procedure I do for a lot of plant material, sometimes even for mainland U.S. packaging. Do not want to bring in any things that are not already here.
